The first half of this course looks at encouraging calm behaviour in your dog. We play boundary games (making their bed a great place to be, even around distractions), and impulse-control games to help with issues like jumping up.
The second half teaches your dog to focus on you around distractions, and teaches you techniques for getting and keeping your dog's focus. This is helpful when out walking on lead, or for training reliable recalls, since without being able to get focus from your dog, you can't start asking for any other behaviour from them.
Training is done using food/toy/play rewards, and a lot of emphasis is put on building a great relationship with your dog to make them want to focus on you.
